Title: CREEP

Artist Statement: My purpose to make this video is actually to make the viewer feel nervous when they watch as it is creepy. I used the creepy sounds that I have edited in the video; I even recorded my own voice for this in the beginning of the video. All the blood, ghost and the hallway are based on the results of my survey. I did this in flash and converted it to mp4 format.

Artist Treatment: Adobe Flash, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and Audacity.

I did survey on the people that I targeted. My target audience are the young young people who are aged within 18-23 years old. Here's how my survey looks like:

Based on the results, I've produced a pesona out of this.

The person feels nervous when there's something creepy going on.
Blood creeps out the most.
Ghost creeps out the most.
Dark colour suits best with creepiness.
Long hallway in the dark is creepy.

This is my mind map on Spooky. To me, spooky comes in two types, horror and creepy. I chose creepy instead to my assignment project video.







Research
I did my research on creepiness. Creepiness is producing a sensation of uneasiness or fear, as of things crawling on one's skin: a creepy feeling; a creepy story. It is also nnoyingly unpleasant; repulsive. (Reference:http://www.thefreedictionary.com/Creepiness). I found these two pictures to be creepy (to me) on the web.

Media Project 01 (Brainstorming)

OK! So for this media project, which is the last assignment actually (hooray!!!), I have to come up with 2 A3 sized concept board artwork and a video. Topic=free. I was thinking of what to do but haven't got any clues so I decided to play some ringtones on my phone that I downloaded from the internet. It then occured to me when I was playing a creepy ringtone and I thought, why not make a creepy video!

By the way, here is the creepy ringtone that I meant(above). Just for advice before playing the video, don't put the volume high enough that you might get a heart attack when you listen to it.
